Yarn Along

I finished my dusty rose kimono sweater. It fits perfectly! I like the color and the pattern.

I hope I will have several happy years of  wearing it.

I start new project- simple knitting dawn raglan sweater. I am planning to knit it a bit roomy, so I can fit long sleeves shirt under it. I am using Liberty Wool yarn. Just love this color!

I finished reading The Flanders Panel by Arturo Perez-Reverte. Another present from my oldest son. (Thank you D.) For  Chess and Art lovers this is the perfect mystery with intrigue, logic and  characters so real, that you feel you known them for years.

Have a happy knitting and reading!

My little boy is sick. After three sleepless nights with high fever, ear aches and cough we finally went to Urgent Care.

After medicine and orange juice, we  crashed on the couch and sleep. Why is it so much harder when your child is sick? Why is it I always imagine that something horrible happening to him ?

I think, even Cody is worrying.

Have a good day and stay healthy!

Birdfeeder

Last Saturday my son made a birdfeeder.

Home Depot has this program (I believe that Lowe's has it too) every first Saturday they do free projects with kids. My son made Fire truck, flower pot, Valentine card holder and etc. This week was a birdfeeder.  This was something new for us and we were discussing where was the best place to hung it. We decided on front yard ( as far away as possible from my tomatoes).

This is how you work with puppy around.

Cody, brave and handsome.

Apparently dinosaur's also like to visit birdfeeders.

Let's hope birds like it!

Have a wonderful day!

Yarn Along

I am still knitting my Kimono sweater from dusty rose yarn. I finished with the body and started on right sleeve. I had to ripped it couple times , because I wanted better fitting. I think so far I like it. I still have plenty of yarn left, so it is probably enough to finish.

I am reading Dorothy Gillman "Uncertain Voyage" I love  all her books.

Have a happy knitting and reading!

Floors.

I was polishing our floors today. My husband and our oldest son installed them when we found out that our youngest had allergies. They are very easy to clean and with a dog and very active kid, they are life savers. The only thing is that from time to time I need to polish them. Today Cody is in the vet office and my youngest is at school, so today is floor polishing day. I actually like doing it, because after polishing they look like new, all shiny and happy.

 First coat.

Second coat.

Spring Blues.

The Spring is in full bloom. All trees are white or pink. Tulips on my front yard are blooming. Lizards are here.

Me and Cody were a little sad today. What do you do when that happened?

I usually do not do many planned activities and just let my mind wonder. Today I look at my summer dresses and t-shirts (some old , some new) and  thought that if I was some kind of crazy lady I would decorate them with some kind embroidery to make them more cheerful.

Let me be clear, I do not know how to do cross-stitching or embroidery. I thought to myself: " What the worst thing can happened? I can ruin my 4.58 dollars t-shirt or my old dress? Who cares?"

So I pull out my daughter's embroidery bag and start creating. I watched "Murder she wrote", Cody chewed his bone and we were both happy.

Here are results of my experiment and I am quite happy about it. This is not professional job by any means, but I like it, so here we go.

                                                           Have a wonderful day!
