Autumn

The heat is gone. The weather is perfect- warm during the day and chilly in the morning.
Warm sleepers is our favorite thing this season.

Whole house is full of pumpkins.

Tonight we are expecting our first frost. I picked most of the tomatoes ( well, may be half).
My dog was helping of course! He just loves small red jucy tomatoes!

My tomatoes plants are still blooming and growing. This Summer was really good for them. We did not buy any tomatoes during this Summer at all. Every day I used to pick one bowl of tomatoes.
It is a little slowing now, but we still have plenty.

I hope you are enjoying this Fall just as we are!

Chiky is ready for winter!

In beginning he ask only for a scarf. After that for a sweater. Overalls were my idea.

Yarn Along

I am very exited. My yarn is here!!! It is Knit Picks Wool of Andes Bulky in silver color.

I am starting new project for myself-Ladies' Long Nordic Vest by Pierrot  (Gosyo Co., Ltd) .

It is so quick to knit with bulky yarn and yarn is perfect for cables!

I just finished reading John Sanford's Night Prey. Very scary! Now I am off to the Library.

Have a great knitting and reading!

Split Rock and Baby Toes

My sister was telling me about unusual plant which looks like rock. I realize it must be some kind of succulent. I really want to see it. Finally I found some succulents called Split Rock and Baby Toes. I confirm with my sister that in fact Split Rock is growing rock plant she was talking about.

My Baby Toes plant starts blooming! What a treat!!!!

Happy gardening!

Just want to show you what I have been knitting in last couple months. I am not very fast knitter, but I enjoy every bit of my projects. Scarf is from Elann Peruvian Baby Cashmere in Starlight Blue. Botanical Cowl,  I was influence by Ginny- love everything about it.

Finally, another kimono- this time from Tosh DK, Clematis.(Did not block it yet) Love how it feels and how it looks on me. My camera did not show real colors, especially indoors, so I tried outdoors.

I started on new secret project, so I can show you just a little bit....until the time is right.

I am reading Karin Fossum again. Love her "The Indian Bride" and unsettledness in the end is so real!

Hope you enjoy your Summer!

Have a great reading and knitting!

Yarn Along

Right now I am reading M. C. Beaton: Death of a Dreamer

I just love Hamish Macbeth Mysteries.

I started to knit a very warm shawl. I am mixing all kind of different wool yarns. I used to have similar shawl and enjoyed it enormously. So this is the second try. We'll  see how it will go.

Have a great reading and knitting!
