Yarn Along
My husband's hat is in progress. It goes very slow. I do not know why. Considering that we might have snow tomorrow, it will not be ready in time. May be next winter? He, He, He...
I just love red roses! Aren't they pretty?
Have a nice knitting!

Fall
It is time to plant garlic. I never done that. Based on experts opinion it is before Halloween.
Done.
We are having more rainy weather. And beautiful rainbows.
I decided to try my hand in dress making. That will be challenging.
Please tell me how this is happened that yesterday he was playing in the sand box and today it is all about Minecraft and Pokémon.
We keep inventing new names with end "mon"
-Elephantmon?
- That will be mammothmon, mom.

Yarn Along
I am knitting my son's poncho. I choose colors of south west. The yarn is Northfield from Valley Yarns , very, very soft.
I also ordered yarn for my husband's hat. I could not choose contrast color, so I ordered two: white and light grey. In the end light grey was the one I choose - not too drastic.
And of course, Cody is supervising all my knitting activity. Isn't he cute?
Have a happy knitting!

Yarn Along
Well, the fall is here. My house is full of flowers and knitting projects. Somehow when temperature outside is going down, wooly knitting projects seem more appropriate. I have request for a winter hat(for my husband) and for a southwest poncho (for my son). Oh! How happy I am!!
Just finished my vest. It is light, free fitting and goes very well with most of my lovely scarves.
I am reading and trying to practice Breathing Exercises by Yogi Zoli. Love it! Hopefully I will stick to it and keep it as a daily routine.
Have a wonderful knitting and reading!
Fall
Fall in New Mexico means cooler temperatures. We still have 90th during the day, but mornings are around 50th, which are pleasant and refreshing.
Mums!
When we were driving to Tooley's trees to pick up our grape seedlings we found fruit stand by the side of the road. Two boxes for $12! It 's a deal!
By the way, anybody who is living in New Mexico and want to buy some fruit trees should look up Tooley's trees and nobody is paying me to say that. The owners are very friendly and big advocates for local agriculture. Their trees are adopted to New Mexico's poor soil and are drought resistant. We bought from them two cherry trees and two black currant bushes and they are doing great in our backyard!
Well, It is not balloon fiesta yet, but here in NM you can expect hot air balloons any time.

Yarn Along
It all started when my husband bought me a Kindle. Tell you the truth, I love paper books, I love the smell, the feel of them. My favorite stores are used books stores. In every place we lived I can name you quite a few. AND that is without online used books stores like " the Better word books", which I love very much.
BUT lately I found myself in situations where my books are available only electronically or significantly more expensive as paper books, so I agreed to buy Kindle.
My husband asked if I want case for Kindle or not. " No case"- I said. They all end up in the "no use" pile. Keeping Kindle in my purse means that it will be scratched, so what does a real knitter do? Knit a cover of course. I used Sasha Kagan's Country Inspiration book for flower pattern.
I love my new cover! It is so comfortable! Very light, not fussy and it has flower on it.
I started reading The Second Deadly Sin by Asa Larson on my new Kindle and so far am enjoying it!
Have a great knitting and reading!
